Ever since WP Optin Wheel version 2.1, we’re supporting Facebook Messenger opt-in through an integration with ChatChamp. This guide explains how to set everything up and start receiving opt-ins through Messenger.


  • WooCommerce.
  • A Facebook page.

Setting up ChatChamp

  1. Create an account on ChatChamp. They offer a free plan so you can get started right away.
  2. In your WordPress admin Dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and search for ChatChamp. Download & activate the plugin.
  3. Once the plugin is running, we need to activate your store on ChatChamp. To do so, go to your ChatChamp account > Settings > Setup. Scroll down until you find the section to set up your shop:
  4. Select WooCommerce and click Next.
  5. Copy the ID that ChatChamp has generated for your store
  6. Paste the ID in the ChatChamp plugin settings on your WordPress website by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings.


Setting up WP Optin Wheel

When setting up your wheel, you have 2 options:

  1. Only use Facebook opt-in
  2. Use Facebook opt-in, in combination with your usual opt-in form (such as MailChimp).

We’ll be discussing both options here.

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings > WP Optin Wheel Pro and navigate to the Integrations tab.
  2. Activate ChatChamp by pasting the ID you used in step 5 of Setting up ChatChamp
  3. Now that ChatChamp is active, you can use it as an integration tool whenever you create a new wheel.
    1. If you only want to use Facebook opt-in, you should select ChatChamp in the first step of the wheel-creation process.
    2. If you want to use ChatChamp with any other tool, just select your preferred tool as you normally would. In the settings of your wheel, under Integrations, you can select to also use Facebook opt-in.

You’re now ready to get Facebook subscribers and use ChatChamp to communicate with them!
